About Me
Hi, I'm Brendan Connelly, a mathematics major at UCLA. I enjoy tackling complex problems using both theoretical and computational approaches. Currently, I'm part of UCLA's Computational and Applied Math (CAM) REU, where I'm applying blind hyperspectral image unmixing techniques, like nonnegative matrix factorization and dimensionality reduction, to infrared spectral data. I'm especially drawn to quantitative finance, data science, and statistical modeling, and I'm passionate about leveraging mathematical insights to address real-world challenges.
